Finding Sources Explanation

 

At the Pamlico Community College Library, we have three main types of information resources: our physical in-house inventory, our online digital resources, and our interlibrary loan service (ILL).

Through our physical inventory, we provide library services in the traditional sense. You can come to the library and check out items such as books and DVDs. To see a list of this inventory, please consult the online card catalog, or contact our library staff for further assistance. We have thousands more books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and magazines available through the Dogwood Digital Library.

Our internet resources provide access to a variety of databases for your research needs. You can access these online resources through either a computer here at the library or from a remote location. Remote access to some websites requires a password. Upon request our library staff can provide this password to PCC students and Pamlico County residents.

Through our interlibrary loan (ILL) service, we temporarily exchange inventory items within a regional network of libraries. These items can be checked out by our patrons upon request. Note that these items have unique pickup times and due dates. See below for ILL instructions:
